We are extremely proud of our family-owned, UK based factory, the people that work in it and the beautiful garments that we produce. Here are just some of the wonderful people who are involved in making the magic happen!
Rosa is our designer and the creator of We Are Wastd’s unique knitwear designs. We AreWastd combines two of her passions - knitwear and sustainability - with a dash of fun thrown in for good measure!
Second generation knitwear factory owner, Snahal, passionately believes that the fashion industry needs to adopt better ways of working in order to contribute to lessening its negative global and social impact.
Dean is our lead technician. He converts Rosa’s ideas into reality by programming our 3D knitting machines and making sure our samples are perfect before they go into production.
Manu is one of our talented team of knitters. It is his responsibility to keep our state-of-the-art zero waste knitting machines running smoothly.
For over 20 years, Nina has been in charge of making sure that all the knitwear that leaves our factory meets our very strict quality specifications. She measures and checks every piece by hand, so that you can be sure your jumper is perfect.
Smruti is one of our trusty team of finishers who skilfully attach our back neck labels and any other trimmings that our knitwear requires.
Sunil keeps track of all the waste yarn in the factory and lets Rosa know when we are running low and it’s time to produce a new colourway!
